Dear OCC Neighbor,

We are excited to announce that the city has today approved our traffic control plan, the construction fence will be going up this Thursday and the excavation subs will be mobilizing and starting work this Monday, 2/15/16.

In the meantime, the subs who have been conducting the wall stabilization study over the past couple of days will be continuing their work tomorrow afternoon and Thursday.

A culmination of challenges that ALP and Armada Hoffler have been wrestling with have led the general contractor to require the eastbound lane closure on Parrish Street to begin once the new fence goes up. We had initially hoped that our general contractor would be able to work during the first four months without closing the eastbound lane of Parrish Street, but the logistical challenges related to utilities and shoring have led the general contractor to require the eastbound lane of Parrish Street in front of the construction site to be closed (from the beginning of the construction process to roughly the end of the concrete pours).

We understand and recognize that this lane closure impacts the adjacent residents and businesses, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.  We will do our best to make sure you are informed about what’s going on and when changes arise. Keep an eye out for the big machines early next week  marking the official start of construction!
